Kampala Christian International Film Festival
The Kampala Christian International Film Festival (KCIFF) is Africa’s premier faith-inspired film exhibition, uniquely positioned to showcase, celebrate, and elevate stories rooted in Christian values and spiritual themes. Designed to be a dynamic platform for filmmakers, creatives, and audiences from around the world, KCIFF aims to promote excellence in faith-based cinema while fostering dialogue, cultural exchange, and artistic innovation.
The inaugural edition of this groundbreaking festival will take place from May 27th to 30th, 2027, at the iconic Ugandan National Cultural Centre (UNCC), located in the heart of Kampala, Uganda. Over the course of four days, the festival will feature a rich array of activities, including film screenings, panel discussions, masterclasses, networking events, and award ceremonies. It will bring together Christian filmmakers, industry professionals, ministry leaders, and audiences seeking content that inspires, uplifts, and transforms.
With a mission to serve as a beacon of light in the global film landscape, KCIFF is committed to curating compelling stories that reflect faith, hope, redemption, and the human experience from a spiritual perspective. The festival seeks to empower local and international creatives to tell their stories boldly and authentically, while positioning Kampala as a vibrant hub for Christian cinematic expression in Africa and beyond.
Lighthouse Television (LTV)

The Kampala Christian International Film Festival (KCIFF) is an innovative initiative founded by Lighthouse Television (LTV), Uganda’s oldest faith-based television station. Established in 1997 in Kampala, LTV began as a broad-based channel that sought to bring wholesome, family-friendly, and inspirational content to Ugandan audiences at a time when local television was still in its formative stages. Over the years, the station has grown into a respected voice in the media landscape, known for its commitment to Christian values, quality programming, and community outreach.
Building on its decades-long experience and a strong talent pool of media professionals, LTV is now taking a bold step into the future by expanding its vision beyond traditional broadcasting. The station is spearheading the development of the first faith-inspired television channel on the African continent. This pioneering channel will serve as a hub for high-quality Christian programming, including drama, documentaries, talk shows, music, and educational content tailored to African audiences. It aims to be a beacon of hope and spiritual nourishment, broadcasting messages of faith, love, and resilience across the continent and beyond. Through initiatives like KCIFF and the new TV channel, LTV continues to redefine faith-based media in Africa, using storytelling as a powerful tool to impact lives, shape culture, and uplift communities.
